Terrazzo micro grain, such as Agglotech’s Avorio, is a type of terrazzo worktop comprising small pieces of marble embedded in a high-quality Portland cement base. The rocks are ground down to a tiny size, giving the surface a smooth and consistent appearance.
Terrazzo with micro-grain styles is prevalent in high-traffic projects, such as airports and shopping malls, because it is durable and easy to maintain. However, when you apply it to home interiors, this cream terrazzo worktop material is perfect for kitchens and bathrooms because of its excellent performance in areas with contact with water.
Additionally, a terrazzo micro-grain worktop such as Agglotech Avorio is a sustainable and environmentally friendly option because its composition has 100 % recycled materials and does not require harsh chemicals for cleaning.
What is Agglotech’s Terrazzo Avorio?

Micro terrazzo, also known as "composite terrazzo," is a type of terrazzo that features tiny chips of marble in a cement base. It's a spin on the traditional terrazzo, offering a more subtle and refined look. Think of it as the fancy little black dress of terrazzo with vibrant marble microchips. It's perfect for those who want the durability and versatility of terrazzo but with a more delicate touch. It's the ideal balance of classic and modern, traditional and trendy, making it an excellent option for any homeowner looking to add a touch of elegance to their home.
The Worktop Library pre-seals your terrazzo worktops so you can use them immediately after installation. However, suppose you want to protect your terrazzo surfaces from acid and liquid stains. In that case, you can apply a layer of specialist water- and oil-protective coating to the worktops to make them liquid-repellent. In addition, the coating will increase its water and stain resistance by reducing water absorption and acting as a non-acid staining solution.
To keep marble-cement terrazzo worktops in pristine condition, we recommend cleaning them regularly with soapy water.
For deep cleaning, we recommend Lithofin Power Clean, a concentrate for natural stones comprising neutral detergent. This product cleans without damaging or lubricating the surfaces. After cleaning the surfaces, wipe them with a damp microfiber cloth.
