Super White quartzite: the look of marble, the performance of granite
What exactly is a Super White quartzite stone? It is an exotic natural material that has become prevalent in interior decoration because even though it looks like marble, it isn’t impacted by acidic substances (i.e. oranges, lemons, etc.) like its marble counterpart.
Colour, texture, and pattern are quartzite’s three most prominent attributes. The most common colours include grey, white, and black, but you can also find virtually any other neutral shade.
Does super white quartzite stain? No, if you seal its surface once every two years.
Robust worktop and kitchen splashback
Super White quartzite worktops have many unique properties, such as lower porosity and higher stain resistance than marble or limestone, making it an ideal choice for worktops and other high-use surfaces that require the marble’s look but not its problems. It’s also heat-resistant (650C), so you can place hot pans directly on the worktop without fear of damaging the surface. Quartzite is easy to clean, so you can keep your kitchen or bathroom looking its best with minimal effort.
Our Super White quartzite kitchen worktops offer a very high shine and can reflect light brightly, adding a touch of luxury to any space.
A versatile wall and countertop material
The Super White honed quartzite worktop is another finish offered by The Worktop Library for London homeowners. Despite its subtle texture, it is a deceptively straightforward cooking and working surface material that is highly adaptable and configurable. Our Superwhite quartzite honed worktop can be modified to meet your specific requirements. We can cut it bespoke for kitchens, bathrooms, home offices or other small offices where the worktop will be on display. We can also add accessories such as an under-plate and side splashback to ensure that the worktop is up to standard.
Simple luxury for large and small homes
In addition to its practical benefits, Super White quartzite has a luxurious appearance that can elevate any space. The stone’s white colour base and subtle veining give it a sleek and elegant look that will never go out of style.
One detail to note is that quartzite is not quartz (an engineered stone). In contrast to what we commonly call ‘quartz’, quartzite’s patterns are 100% natural and contain no additives, colourings or resins, making them an excellent sustainable worktop choice.

A natural quartzite is a fantastic option for kitchen worktops, upstands, or walls in homes and businesses. It has remained the king of worktops for centuries thanks to the mix of eternal beauty, high performance and affordability it offers.
- Natural quartzite is UV suitable, making it a perfect outdoor worktop material.
- You can choose quartzite in various finishes: Polished, Leather, Honed, and Satin.
- Each slab of natural quartzite worktop is unique to you and your project. Nature does not create two identical quartzite slabs.
- Quartzite can withstand exceptionally high heat (up to 650 degrees Celsius) and offers excellent scratch and stain resistance performance.
- When you embark on a kitchen or bathroom renovation, you will most likely consider how the material would improve the appearance and functionality of your house. However, with quartzite, you can also consider how it can boost the property's value. Your home is a significant investment, and adding marble worktops can help increase its value in the future.

As an organic material, quartzite's warranty comes from nature. And because quartzite is a natural product, it has inherent flaws and fractures that make it unique.
You can select from our Sensa, Naturamia, and Granith stone collections of branded natural materials if you prefer marble with a warranty. Our manufacturer's warranties for natural stone worktops range from 2 to 15 years.
Super White quartzite belongs to our Price Group 4 (four), representing a medium to a high price point.

Super White quartzite comprises 100% raw minerals and includes natural quartz, feldspar, biotite mica, and Microline. There are no additives, colourants, or resins. Due to the lack of calcific minerals, quartzite's surface doesn't etch when exposed to acidic substances.
Yes. Unlike manufactured stones such as quartz and engineered marble, Super White quartzite comprises 100% natural minerals and is suitable for outdoor applications.
In addition, the lack of resins in quartzite worktops ensures that their colours don't fade or alter even when you install them externally.
Yes. Like any natural stone, Super White quartzite is porous due to its surface's micro-permeable nature. When a stone is porous, it can absorb liquids through micropores and its interfacial texture.
You can seal Super White quartzite with an inexpensive stone sealant by spreading the transparent liquid over the surface and letting it rest for a minimum of 12 hours.
Repeat this process every 18-24 months, depending on how much traffic your quartzite surface receives.
