No. In interior and exterior projects, you can use 6 mm Ascale porcelain slabs for wall tiles, flooring, outdoor cladding, flooring, and furniture coverings. Moreover, 6 mm porcelain may break when cutting holes such as sink and hob cutouts. So instead, we recommend using 12 mm or 20 mm Ascale porcelain for worktop applications.
Ascale weights 14.95 kg/m2 in 6 mm thickness, 29.86 kg/m2 in 12 mm thickness and 49.75 kg/m2 in 20mm thick slabs. It is approximately 50% lighter than a marble or granite slab, giving it superior versatility for applications in small spaces or areas difficult to reach with heavier decorative stones.
Absolutely! According to the ISO 10545-6 test, Ascale Tai boasts an average abrasion resistance value of 140 mm3. It is approximately ten times the capacity of Carrara marble (with an abrasion value of 14 mm).
