Silestone Coral clay Description & Advantages
Coral Clay is part of the Basiq Series of quartz taking ideas from minimalist architecture and nordic design by producing a range of simple and elegant stone surfaces.
You can choose Coral Clay between matte and glossy polished finishes and in different slab thicknesses. It is a natural quartz surface with an anti-stain treatment from Spain. Therefore, like the rest of Cosentino worktops, our Silestone Coral Clay colour countertop comprises raw materials enabling it to resist mould growth without needing a sealant, giving you a better, healthier kitchen experience.
The Basiq Coral Clay quartz worktops include a bacteriostatic treatment to protect their surfaces from hazardous viruses. In addition, it makes it a hygienic surface without ongoing care or special upkeep from you.
With Silestone Coral Clay, you can design spacious, vibrant interiors with striking and distinctive characteristics. In addition, the HybriQ technology in this quartz stone is 100% recyclable and biodegradable.
Silestone Basiq Series: Marble & Granite Essentials For Modern Interiors
Silestone Coral Clay has predominant natural hues, with an almost coffee-coloured surface, perfect for modern designs. Similarly, the fossils on its surface produce a beautiful vibe in contemporary kitchens and bathrooms by providing a high-quality, natural stone look.
In addition to adding connectivity and functioning as a control panel in the kitchen, modern worktops should allow users to cook directly on them. And Coral Clay is getting closer to this dream by providing a liquid-repellent worktop.
Because of its innovative stain-resistant characteristic, cleaning has never been more straightforward: you can use Silestone worktops to make meals that combine ingredients from around the world or locally and achieve exceptional results while appreciating the inventiveness, textures, colours, and personality that Cosentino utilises to build each of its original quartz worktops.
This Silestone worktop is part of a quartz collection comprising 100% renewable energy and recycled water. It is an innovative high-performance combination of quality minerals, quartz, and recycled glass, known as HybriQ and HybriQ+.
- HybriQ uses technology that restricts the crystalline silica content to 50%.
- Silestone HybriQ+: technology limits crystalline silica content to 50% and uses a minimum of 20% recycled material.
Quartz worktops with these technologies result in deeper colour intensity. In addition, they come with improved patterns and hues from specific minerals for each quartz stone, allowing you to create original and bespoke living areas.

While granite is a natural, porous surface, Silestone Coral Clay is an engineered surface comprising pure quartz crystals and other raw materials. As such, both make for excellent countertops and surfaces. In addition, both are hard, durable, and have many high-performance features. However, Coral Clay's non-porosity has an edge in practicality, care and maintenance.
Cons: the only drawback between Coral Clay Silestone and natural marble is that quartz is suitable only for interiors, whilst you can use marble outdoors. It is because contained exposure to UV rays impacts its resin and can alter the colour of the surface.
The Worktop Library guarantees only genuine stone surfaces and worktops from the most reputable brands across the UK. You can always confirm your Silestone Coral Clay’s authenticity by checking for the Silestone logo that marks the underside of your countertop. Simple!
Maintaining the Silestone Coral Clay is straightforward. Here are the seven points to keep in mind:
- Keep your worktop as new as day one with water, a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth.
- Wipe away any spills or stains to maintain the sheen.
- Avoid cleaning with harsh chemicals like bleaches or chemicals.
- Do not use any water repellents or sealants.
- Avoid placing hot utensils on your Silestone surface for a prolonged duration.
- Use hot pads or trivets whenever possible.
- Avoid installing your Silestone Coral Clay under direct sunlight or outdoors, as it can fade away due to UV radiation.
Apply window cleaning spray or multi-purpose spray on the spot and wipe it away with the soft side of a sponge. If required, repeat this step. Next, rinse the area well with water and pat dry.
Use a moist sponge and washing vinegar. If the marks remain, try diluting limescale cleaner with water. Next, wipe away quickly.
It would be best to never leave limescale remover over 2 minutes on Silestone. If required, repeat the procedure. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.
You should remove this as soon as you can, following three steps:
- First, use a blade or sharp knife held horizontally and acetone.
- Then, follow with ;a scouring pad.-You can use a high-quality silicone remover if you don't have acetone.
- Finally, rinse well with warm water and pat dry.
Yes. Silestone Coral Clay can withstand temperatures of up to 150C.
However, to prevent heat damage, do not set specific kitchen equipment, such as pans, pots, and other objects that emit heat like Silestone hot pan or a hot pot, immediately onto the surface after use. Instead, use a mat or rack until the tools have cooled. Thermal stress might cause damage.
