Amarula quartzite is a beautiful, natural stone that has a thousand possibilities. Its appearance is striking and unusual, with its irregular patterns and surfaces tinted in ochres and browns. The stones are not uniform in colour, texture or size. Still, they have unique markings making them highly sought-after for many uses, including kitchen countertops, floors, fireplaces, walls, mantels and even pools.
The material is tough enough to withstand the wear of daily use without chipping or breaking down over time. It means it will last a lifetime while maintaining its beauty. Amarula quartzite is perfect for an exceptional design at an affordable price.
You can choose this stone in different sizes, finishes, and textures. Amarula in Vintage finish, for example, is perfect in interior design and construction for kitchens or bathrooms that require a striking material with a matte look and a textured feel.
Other names
The generic name of this stone is Amarula granite. However, if you are looking for slabs to use as worktops, we offer them as Amarula Brown quartzite, Amarula Brown Granite, or Granito Amarula.
Amarula is quarried in Vitoria. Vitória is a Brazilian city on the country’s southern coast. It is a fluvial island bordered by the bay of Vitória, and part of the region of Espirito Santo, serving as the capital’s capital. In addition to Vitória, the central island, the town includes 34 smaller islands and a section of the coastline. There were formerly 50 islands, several connected to the most significant island by a disposal site.
Amarula combines a natural marble look with an easy-to-use granite to help you cook any foods and meals in your Home.
- Hygienic: quartzite’s low porosity ensures no bacteria cannot penetrate its surface. Cleaning your quartzite worktops with a significantly diluted solution of dishwashing detergent is sufficient to lower the microbe count, meeting the Food and Drug Administration’s mandated cleanliness threshold for kitchen worktops. After rinsing with water, a quartzite worktop is hygienic over the critical point. And if you sanitise it using a very mild solution of white vinegar, you will eliminate 100% of germs.
- Varied Dimensions: Quartzite slab size starts at approximately 2800 x 1800 mm and can extend up to 3250 x 1980 mm, depending on your selected variety.
- Various Thicknesses: You can choose quartzite worktops of 20 mm and 30 mm in standard thicknesses. In addition, you can select thicker quartzite surfaces of 40 mm, 50 mm, and more as non-standard thicknesses.
- Remarkable Finishes: The quartzite fascia’s patterns are ideal for producing various finishes that are unique to this stone. You can choose from flat finishes such as polished, honed, and Satinato. In addition, you can select from textured finishes that include leather and Vintage.

Amarula Quartzite Kitchen and Bathroom Combinations
- Dark and Bright: Dark kitchen ideas, like it or not, do not have to appear and feel gloomy. If your kitchen is in the corner of the house that receives a lot of sunlight, utilise this as a chance to get creative with your new space. Combine brown tiles, kitchen cabinets, and worktops with bronze appliances and a matching backsplash to make the sunshine work for you and produce a stunning kitchen that will dazzle visitors.
- Neutral colours: In a room with Amarula quartzite, you may also choose a lighter, more neutral hue for the walls, allowing them to be the central focus of the area. Colours like beige and cream go well with Belvedere worktops in the kitchen and bathroom, so keep a close eye out for nuances no matter where you plan.
- Dark Wood: If you are looking for a brown paint colour suggestion, which is a perfect complement to Amarula quartzite worktops, although this isn’t particularly interesting, using a hue of brown in one room may look extremely lovely without being too dressy. Another noteworthy feature is the use of sober black and wooden cabinets in the room, which, while striking, does not compete for everyone’s attention.

Amarula quartzite belongs to our Price Group 3 (three), representing a medium price point. The total cost of an Amarula Brown quartzite worktop is determined by several factors, including the specific dimensions needed, the geographical location, and the ease of access to the property for installation purposes. These factors influence the number of stone installers necessary to complete your project.
Amarula quartzite is a natural stone composed of 100% raw minerals, including quartz, feldspar, biotite mica, and garnet. It is free from any additives, colourants, or resins. Due to the absence of calcific minerals, the surface of brown quartzite is resistant to etching when in contact with acidic substances.
Unlike engineered stones like quartz and manufactured marble, Amarula quartzite is made entirely of natural minerals, making it suitable for outdoor use. Furthermore, the absence of resins in quartzite worktops ensures that their colours remain vibrant and unchanged, even when installed in external environments.
Amarula quartzite can be easily sealed using an affordable stone sealant. Apply the clear liquid onto the surface and allow it to sit for at least 12 hours. Then, repeat this process every 18-24 months, depending on the level of usage your quartzite surface experiences. This regular sealing routine will help maintain the durability and beauty of your quartzite worktop.
Amarula quartzite, also known as Amarula granite, is a natural stone from Vitoria on the southeast coast of Brazil.
