Infinity Surfaces porcelain worktops comprise ceramic sand, quartz, feldspar (granite), clay, and mineral colouring instead of the polymers in other surfaces. As a result, it makes them more robust (40% stronger than marble), less prone to staining ( < 0.05% liquid absorption), and offers heat resistance (it melts at over 2000 Celsius) than other work surfaces such as quartz.
Have you got 14 seconds? -The below video shows you the ingredients that Infinity uses during its manufacturing process,:
Infinity Porcelain Sizes
The Infinity slab is available in 3240 x1620 mm, and thicknesses of 12 mm and 20 mm. In addition, there is a 3200 x1600 mm you can choose in 6 mm thickness.
There are four finishes of Infinity Surfaces: Polished, Matte, Satin, and Hyle.
Infinity Porcelain Finishes
Hyle is a new decorated finish that adapts the removal procedures used in natural stone surface treatments to technical porcelain, resulting in a new idea of balance beyond the look of the ceramic surface to highlight the materials' compositions.
Infinity worktops have extraordinarily high resilience to scratches and damage due to heat and pressure during manufacturing. Nevertheless, like with any other countertop product, incorrect use or using ceramic tools may cause the surface to deteriorate.
Infinity provides clients with a winning option for repairing surface blemishes which you can consult with your worktop supplier.
Cleaning and maintenance of the Infinity surfaces
Worktop Cleaning
For everyday cleaning, use a moistened cloth with water and neutral soap.
We recommend moistening the dirt with hot water to dissolve any residues. Then, remove or wash the stain with a clean cloth. Using a sponge with soft fibres is ideal, such as a microfibre cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges or steel wool.
Infinity advises against using caustic soda on its surfaces. We also advise against using acid or alkaline treatments for long periods.
Stubborn Stains
Infinity recommends first washing the surface with warm water and neutral detergent in case of persistent and tough residues and stains.
For stubborn stains, use more aggressive cleaning methods and solutions. Depending on the type of stain you may use:
- Non-abrasive detergents with a pH of neutral
- Non-abrasive detergents with a pH of neutral
- Mildly abrasive detergents
- Acid or alkaline detergents; solvent-based detergents
Please check with your worktop supplier which chemical to apply to each type of stain.
Precautions
We recommend a 10-15 minute application followed by thorough washing with lots of water when using bleach. Never keep bleach in contact with the Infinity surface for longer than the time suggested.
You can adopt the following precautions for proper worktop maintenance:
First, use pan stands, coasters, and napkins at all times.
It is best not to cut items directly on the worktop but rather to use cutting boards.
Never drag home appliances, knives, or utensils over the worktop, since this can leave challenging steel stains.
Finally, don't use ceramic knives on Infinity worktops.
Heat Resistance
The Infinity surface meets the EN ISO 10545-1 standard requirement in terms of thermal shock resistance.
Infinity surfaces tolerate limited exposure to intense temperatures. Nevertheless, direct contact with a piping hot item may result in thermal shock or damage.
As a result, we do not advocate transferring hot items directly from the burner or oven onto the surface.
To place hot objects on, we recommend using a trivet.
Infinity is a Sintered Stone, as opposed to ordinary porcelain or ceramic, formed by fusing clay minerals and other elements. Infinity has proprietary sinterization formulas involving various ingredients, compounds, and finishes unique to the brand.
As a result, Infinity keeps developing fresh materials with new technologies, including NATURA-VEIN TECH, NATURA-BODY TECH, LEVIGATO PEARL, and INVISACOOK.
Although Infinity is approximately 10 % more expensive to purchase than other more prevalent natural stones such as the common marble types and quartz, it does not require maintenance. Therefore, allowing Infinity to be more cost-effective than the former materials over the long run. Furthermore, Infinity comes with a 10-year warranty, boosting the entire value of the property in which you install it.
No. Although Infinity reduces chipping propensity more than other worktop products, it is sturdier than limestone, marble and quartz, making it slightly more prone to chipping than these materials.
You can receive Infinity samples from The Worktop Library if you reside in London or within 100 miles. We will have Free Infinity samples sent to your house within 2-3 business days.
Infinity Surfaces are made in Italy, specifically in Via Bottegone, 83, 41026 Pavullo nel Frignano MO. The company delivers its materials to the UK through distributors and approved suppliers.
Infinity is 100% fireproof; it is not flammable and will not start a fire. Similarly, it does not emit any hazardous gases, fumes, or odours during a fire. It even protects structural elements in the event of a fire.
You can use Infinity as a fire hearth, fireplace surround or fireplace mantel. Because Infinity Porcelain slabs are solid and vitrified all across their density, comprising clays, feldspars, quartzes, and kaolins, obtained by pressing (450kg/cm2 and more) of the isolated body and then sintered at temperatures exceeding 1200 C. It allows for an absorption rate of 0.05 per cent
Complete vitrification of the slabs allows for average absorption rates of 0.05 per cent, substantially below the ISO 10545-3 European standard standards.
As a result, the completed product is compact, anti-freeze, impact and chemically resistant, and resistant to heat shocks.
Yes. Unlike quartz stones which comprise polymer resins that alter the colour of their surface if you expose them to direct sunlight for long periods, Infinity contains mineral resins, making it UV resistant. Furthermore, because the slabs are not susceptible to change or degradation due to weather conditions, they keep the desirable aspect throughout time.

Furthermore, because the slabs are not susceptible to change or degradation due to weather conditions, they keep the desirable aspect throughout time.
These are the international standard testing EN 14411 - G for each Infinity slab thickness:
THICKNESS | AVERAGE VALUE |
---|---|
6 mm ; | S ≥ 900 N |
R ≥ 40 N/mm2 | |
12 mm | S ≥ 3500 N |
R ≥ 40 N/mm2 | |
20 mm | S ≥ 10000 N |
R ≥ 40 N/mm |
Infinity offers slabs in 6 mm, 12 mm, and 20 mm thicknesses. However, the recommended thicknesses for worktops are 12 mm and 20 mm, because they have the required flexural strength for such application.
When comparing Infinity Surfaces to quartz, there are two essential differences:
- First, infinity can withstand up to 300 Celsius eat vs 150 Celsius for quartz.
- Because Infinity lacks the polymer resins comprising a quartz surface, you may use it outside without any risks of discolouration or degradation.
For example, NaturaBody-Tech is a proprietary technology by Infinity to produce full-body slabs with complete consistency between the composition and the surface look. It is because the minerals, grain sizes, and colours that comprise it are compatible with the texture of the surface material.
Cons: The main characteristic in which quartz beats Infinity and most porcelain stones is that the polymer resin gives it higher flexural resistance, making it less prone to chipping when accidental impact occurs.
If a grout mist lingers on the worktop's surface, it may lose shine. In addition, dull surfaces may occur when using household detergents to clean the worktops because their residues may dry on the surface, making them look misty.
To restore the shine of the worktop surface:
- Apply a tiny amount of CIF cream to a test area.
- Combine it with warm water and set aside for one minute.
- Rinse well with warm water.
If the above steps remove the dull layer partially, repeat the process.
