Taj Mahal is a Quartzite. A metamorphic rock from sandstone. Due to its durability and appearance, it is often confused with granite. It features a soft white background with gold veins, which also resembles marble.
Taj Mahal Quartzite has a creamy white background with gold veining and is more durable than marble, resisting scratches and stains. Marble has a classic look but is softer, more porous, and requires more maintenance.
Taj Mahal Quartzite’s finish affects the look and use as worktops. The Polished finish gives a reflective gloss, highlighting colours, but it can show smudges. The Honed finish is matte, reduces scratches, and is ideal for busy spaces. The leather finish is textured and matte, adding depth and grip, resists fingerprints, and is best used on flooring.
