Calacatta Lincoln marble is a white natural stone with linear grey veins occasionally crossing the slab and a distinctive pattern. It offers an elegant alternative to the famous Calacatta Gold marble and is an excellent option for monochrome designs in traditional interior spaces.

Although this marble comes from the USA instead of Italy, it provides a similar look, offering a high-quality white marble surface with bold grey veins.

 

Classic Italian Looks In a Modern Marble From the USA

This marble comes from the Yule Quarry, a famous mine in Colorado, USA, that opened in 1885 and continues producing some of the most sophisticated marble.

The Yule quarry was found in 1873 by Sylvester Richardson, a geologist looking for gold mines. The quarry’s name pays tribute to George Yule, a prospector who found marble later that year. Calacatta Lincoln takes its name from the Lincoln Memorial Center, a national monument in the USA comprising white marble.

It is presented to memorialise Abraham Lincoln, the 16th American president, in a neoclassical building on the National Mall in Washington, adjacent to the Capitol Building.

Although this marble’s name and historical references date back to the 19th century, Calacatta Lincoln is a new type of marble from Colorado Yule that was as recent as 2012. Due to its warm white backdrop, brown-greyish veining, and elegant and delicate veining, Calacatta Lincoln provides a benchmark among Calacatta marbles, particularly in the USA and European countries.

• Finish: It is readily available in a polished finish. You can also choose Calacatta Lincoln honed marble when you prefer matte or textured finishes for your project.
• Coverage: With a single marble slab, you can cover an area of approximately 5 square meters of surface, whether it is kitchen worktops, floors, or wall panels.
• Protection: Our production team applies professional natural stone sealant coating to your marble slabs upon delivery. Later, our worktop installers use an additional layer of this sealant when completing your kitchen worktop, bathroom, fireplace, or floor installation.
• Thicknesses: Calacatta Lincoln is available in thicknesses of 1.8cm, 2 or 3 cm. Consult with our marble experts if you require thicknesses of 4, 5 or 6 cm or more.
