However, its first documented use attributes its discovery to the Ancient Romans over 2000 years ago when it was known as Luna marble (moon marble), used to construct sculptures and architectural buildings.
Carrara Gioia marble is a type of White Carrara marble prevalent for its dark network or veins contrasting a white backdrop. Carrara Gioia marble offers a vibrant alternative to the traditional Carrara with striking charcoal veining, giving it the Gioia (Italian for 'Joy') name.
