The main difference between these two stones is that Nero Marquina marble is a natural stone, and Compac Unique Marquina is engineered.
Nero Marquina marble has a porosity of 14.5%, which makes it highly porous, and Compac Unique Marquina offers a 0.07% absorption rate, resulting in a non-porous surface. Similarly, Nero Marquina marble requires sealants to protect it from staining every two years. In contrast, Unique Marquina is a quartz product that does not require additional surface protection.
Finally, because Unique Marquina is a quartz surface, acids cannot affect it and etch its surfaces as they can on marble stones such as Black Marquina.
