Silestone Cala Blue takes inspiration from the Mediterranean sun-kissed ocean and its incredible abundance of life in reefs on the verge of extinction.
It is a blue quartz worktop entailing the story of Equilibrio Marino, a group dedicated to protecting and rebuilding our environment. It is also a beautiful, sustainable worktop material you can enjoy every day at home or in your office.
Cala Blue belongs to Silestone Sunlit Days. It is the first Carbon-Neutral quartz collection, minimising emissions with reforestation programs.
Silestone Cala Blue Description & Advantages
Cosentino, the brand behind Silestone, has named this Sunlit Days colour Silestone Cala Blue. It did so in honour of our beautiful Mediterranean Sea with a critical premise. — To conserve the Mediterranean, we must first save life and the equilibrium under its waters.
When receiving sunlight, this vivid, contemporary blue replicates the equilibrium between the depths and the sea’s surface, making it the perfect material for traditional, rustic, or coastal kitchens.
If you wish to create a setting that seems both seaside and trendy, start with the colours. While traditional coastal homes are frequently full of rich greens and brilliant oranges, modern designs require a more minimalist look. Of course, it doesn’t mean you should avoid colour altogether, but if you want to create the most elegant atmosphere possible, keep your neutral colour soft and light.
Combining a kitchen island with slick modern lighting may look modern even in traditional designs. However, if you wish to make a striking impact, install a blue quartz backsplash made of the same material.
Silestone Sunlit Days: HybriQ Hues & Colours with Sustainable HybriQ+
Technology
The Worktop Library provides Sunlit Days by Silestone, an environmentally conscious quartz manufacturer. It comprises a limited series of quartz colours to make your home vibrant while positively contributing to our Mediterranean Sea.
We show the first range of stone kitchen worktops with zero emissions and support two programs for seabed conservation and ecosystem replanting.
Silestone Cala Blue belongs to a unique series of surfaces comprising 100% renewable energy and recycled water. It also results in an innovative high-performance combination of quality minerals, quartz, and recycled glass, known as HybriQ and HybriQ+.
- HybriQ: it uses technology that restricts the crystalline silica content to 50%.
- Silestone HybriQ+: technology limits crystalline silica content to 50% and uses a minimum of 20% recycled material.
Quartz worktops with these technologies result in deeper colour intensity and improved patterns and hues from specific minerals for each quartz stone, allowing you to create original and bespoke living areas.
Silestone Cala Blue Size, Thicknesses & Finishes
Choose from thickness options of 12 mm and 20 mm. In addition, the Worktop Library offers Cala Blue in a Jumbo size slab of 3250×1590 mm, so you can easily create seamless panels and bigger worktops.
Our expert stonemasons specialise in personalising your Silestone Cala Blue worktops, flooring, walls, or fittings as needed. You can even select from 12 different edge types to design, including pencil edges, chamfer and bevel edges, or intricate edges such as mitred edges, full bull noses, etc., letting you plan the perfect worktop to complement your style.
Invest In A Great, Versatile Worktop That Doesn’t Wear & Tear.
This material’s unrivalled versatility has made it a market-leading material for over thirty years. You can create kitchen worktops, walls, Silestone Cala Blue splashbacks, floors, and more interior applications.
A modern coastal design style captures the essence of the seaside without looking like a beach. So, please focus on the patterns that you identify with the ocean. For example, orange isn’t in every coastal scheme, but you may be surprised to see that the pale blue work surface of Cala Blue can do wonders for this type of design.
Another kitchen design idea is to add modern steel appliances or decorations, as these will provide a pleasant sense of variety to the environment. Even powerful elements, such as a stunning black marble table, may go well when combined with the rest of the kitchen.
One critical benefit of Silestone is that, unlike wood and laminate, its colours don’t fade over time. In addition, continuous contact with liquid does not affect quartz. And with a 25-year transferable manufacturer’s warranty, your investment is protected for decades.

- Finally, do not use any water repellents or sealants.
