Starlight Black by Technistone creates a luxurious and opulent ambience with shiny mirror pieces spread across an intense black worktop backdrop.
Starlight Black is part of the exclusive Technistone Starlight collection. This collection has a range of neutral colours, including another brilliant shade: Starlight White.
Starlight Black is Highly Bacterial Resistant & Suitable for Food Contact
Technistone’s Starlight Black quartz is highly resistant to bacteria and suitable for food contact, making it an ideal choice for kitchen worktops. In addition, the non-porous surface of the quartz prevents bacteria from penetrating the surface, which makes it ideal for wet areas such as bathrooms.
In addition, the material is also heat and scratch-resistant, providing an all-in-one solution for the two rooms with the most use in the home: your kitchen and bathrooms.
The non-porous surface of the quartz makes it easy to clean and maintain. In addition, since bacteria cannot penetrate the surface, you don’t have to worry about any stains or marks that might get left behind.
Starlight Black Technistone has a transferrable warranty covered for ten years.
Wide Range of Surface Applications
A Technistone fireplace will increase your home’s appeal, and a quartz staircase or steps will add a distinctive design feature. Regarding coverings, you can apply Technistone quartz tiles to the floors and walls.
Technistone worktops and tiles are prevalent in commercial projects because of their high resistance to wear and tear, with Heathrow Airport in London providing a visual example.
However, reserving the usage of Technistone Starlight Black for more prominent areas is not a requirement. You can use it as a splashback, a window sill, or an accent to complement the rest of your design. The Polished finish in Starlight Black is the most prevalent because it pleasantly brightens the space and is simple to maintain.
For your walls, you can opt for the Polished finish on either Glossy White or Starlight Black surfaces. While the former is a more sophisticated look, the latter provides an edgier appearance and suits contemporary kitchens very well.

Technistone is capable of withstanding the typical impact of everyday objects. When interacting with heavier or large pieces of metal, there is a low chance of chipping. However, it would be best to be careful with the worktop corners and edges.
The below video provides examples of spillages and impacts on Technistone worktops:
- Raw materials are inspected, sorted, and cleaned.
- Then, materials are fed into mixers and blended.
- The mixture is transported to applying equipment or between 2 paper sheets and evenly distributed.
- The vibratory-pressing machine changes substances in a vacuum environment into a compact mass.
- The slab goes into the baking oven, where it is heated. Afterwards, it preserves the new structure until it cools.
- The slabs are calibrated to desired thicknesses, and the surface is polished.
- Slabs that are cut using the exact dimensions of 305 cm x 144 cm and 318 cm x 155 cm can be cut to any size you would like.
- All slabs are sorted by quality for specially trained workers to inspect and sort through them.
- Finally, the slabs are stored securely in inventory and shipped to the customer on a scheduled basis.
