Thassos Marble: The Purest White Stone from Greece

The first documented use of Thassos marble as a decorative materials wall is noted in a building from the reign of Asia’s Caius Aquillius Proculus in 103-104 AD. As per this contribution, the inside of the Temple of Apollo Klarios was surrounded by Thassos marble walls gifted by Titus Flavius Collega, the high priest of the imperial family.
