ASCALE TAU 15 Year Warranty
Picture this: you've just bought a new worktop made by TAU's ASCALE brand. You're excited to have a beautiful new addition to your home, but what if something goes wrong? Don't worry! TAU has got your back.
We are so confident in their product that we offer a 15-year warranty against manufacturing defects for residential installations. But there's a catch - you must register your worktop with TAU within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for this warranty.
If there is a manufacturing defect, TAU will replace your worktop with the same colour, type, and finish as the original purchase. Likewise, if the actual product is no longer available, they'll replace it with a similar one.
It's important to note that commercial installations are not covered under this warranty.
So, if you want to protect your new worktop register it with TAU within 30 days of purchase. Then, head to www.ascale.es under the WARRANTY / CLAIMS section to register, and include your installation invoice. Don't wait too long, or you'll miss out on this great warranty!
You can create L-shape worktops with Ascale by placing a joint between the pieces. However, it would be best to avoid fabricating single L-shape details with Ascale porcelain because the irregular cuts will weaken the slab and may break it. Therefore, instead of being a flaw in the material, L-shape worktops from a single piece are a non-recommended practice with most porcelain slabs.
Here are seven simple steps on how to make holes in Ascale porcelain worktops:
- First, find a flat and sturdy surface to work on.
- Then, use a diamond tool bit to drill a spot at a 75º angle relative to the worktop.
- Be gentle and steady as you move the drill around, and keep the bit cool. Following these steps correctly will help avoid cracking or breaking the porcelain worktop. When making L-shape cuts, leave a 3 mm radius to strengthen the work surface.
- Respect the seams on the worktop as you work.
- For electrical socket holes, make sure they are at least 5 cm away from the worktop's edge.
- Use a diamond cutter to drill the holes, and keep the tool cool with water.
- Start by drilling holes in the corners, then connect them with a straight cut using a small diamond disc cutter.
Following these simple steps, you can drill holes in Ascale worktops like a pro!
First, lay out some plastic supports (packers) along the sides of your worktop. Next, place your worktop on top of the supports, then gently place some wedges into the grooves between the worktop and the supports. Then, check the levelness of the worktop using a level, and if it's not quite right, use the wedges to apply pressure and adjust it as needed. Once you're happy with the placement of the worktop, please leave it to set and wait for the adhesive to dry completely. When the glue is 100% set, carefully remove the supports with a slight crosswise blow.
