Download Brochure Download Maintenance GuidelinesUnistone Belgian Blue is a modern interpretation of the ancient Belgian Blue limestone, known for its susceptibility to stains as a worktop. In contrast to black limestone, Unistone’s Belgian blue is incredibly robust and is non-porous. In addition, this superb-looking quartz surface displays corals, veins, and old fossils all over it, bringing a classic look to kitchens, bathrooms and other interior spaces.
Unlike natural limestone, quartz is a raw, non-absorbent material and does not retain bacteria or stains. As a result, it is completely hygienic and easy to clean and maintain.

Unistone Belgian Blue: An Ancient Stone With Modern Technology
In the days of antiquity, the Belgians quarried their ancient stone from the earth and exported it to all corners of the known world. The Romans used it to build their great aqueducts in Spain. The Greeks used it to create the Parthenon in Athens. Similarly, the Persians used it to build their grand palaces. And the Phoenicians used it to make the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
Today, we use this ancient limestone as a practical surface to decorate homes across London and the UK, decorating kitchens, bathrooms, offices and commercial outlets.
This practical work surface is perfect for those who want to install a natural look in their homes with a modern material requiring little maintenance.
A Unistone Belgian Blue worktop doesn’t require waxes, sealants or any of the maintenance of natural limestone, making it a prevalent material in interior home design.
What uses does a Unistone Belgian worktop have?
For any home, the Unistone Belgian surface is versatile and practical. You can use it as a tabletop, breakfast bar, or backsplash. It is also a typical material for vanity tops and bathroom walls. Finally, the material works as a functional and hygienic surface in utility rooms that does not support bacteria.
You can install this Belgian Blue black quartz in various locations and is resistant to acidic juices.
What distinguishes this black quartz worktop from limestone? Quartz is not porous, but limestone has minimal porosity.
Belgian Blue from Unistone weighs 25% less than limestone bearing the same name. As a result, installation in constrained areas or places with poor visibility is more straightforward, less expensive, and more valuable.
A Versatile Black Worktop Surface
You can choose Unistone Belgian Blue worktops in 1.2, 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. In addition, you can choose this material as a polished surface or in a textured matte finish known as Velluto.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, charming kitchen worktop material, you’ll love Unistone Belgian Blue countertops.
This stone has a deep black shade with white veining and fossils that will create a gorgeous impact in any space.
Quartz is also long-lasting, so you can be confident that Unistone Belgian Blue worktops will last for decades.

Unistone is a quartz surface, very similar to Silestone. Both of these brands offer comparable performance features and interchangeable characteristics.
When comparing Unistone vs Silestone, the most significant difference is the price. Silestone has a higher price range, making it more of a luxury product than Unistone. However, this doesn't necessarily mean that Silestone is of better quality; they are both high-end products.
Here are the three main differences between Unistone and Silestone
- Unistone's standard slab size is 300 x 140 cm. Conversely, Silestone's standard slab size is 306 x 140 cm
- Unistone's Jumbo slab size is 330 x 165 cm. A Silestone Jumbo slab size is 325 x 159 cm (an example of cost savings by purchasing less number of slabs for a project)
- Although both Unistone and Silestone offer 50 different designs, these differ across the two brands. Therefore you choose the material that best suits your style and budget, irrespective of the brand.
The seven best-selling colours from Unistone's quartz collection, according to Worktop Library's installations compiled between 2020 and 2022:
- Carrara Misterio
- Valley White
- Bianco Eclipse
- Diamante
- Statuario
- Carrara Venatino
- Bianco Carrara
The factory producing Unistone is in the Thach That neighbourhood of Hanoi, Vietnam's Hoa Lac High-Tech Park. It has been manufacturing quartz surfaces since 2002.
Many homeowners ask us how to seal Unistone. Unistone is a non-porous, engineered quartz surface, including properties that a sealant would provide, such as high resistance to stains and blemishes. As such, Unistone does not require sealants to preserve its original beauty and performance features.
