AGGLOTECH CEMENT BASED TERRAZZO TECHNICAL DATASHEET
Agglotech's warranty terms and conditions state that you should report any defects and errors in quality in writing within 8 (eight) days of your terrazzo surface installation and notify the company of any non-obvious defects must within 2 (two) years from the purchase. Agglotech SPA takes full responsibility for any premeditated damages, gross negligence, or danger arising from the manufacturing and substances in its products.
Archaeologists first coined the term terrazzo to classify the floors of early Neolithic constructions dating from 9000 BC in West Asia. The ancient terrazzo technique was also prevalent in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, approximately 2200 BC.
Then, in the 15th century, terrazzo was reinvented in its modern form in Italy. Venetian workers who collected marble waste recycled it in terraces (terrazzo), mixing it with a binder as we know it today.
Terrazzo stone withstands abrasion and time better than any other kitchen worktop material. It has been demonstrated throughout history. Terrazzo is the most sustainable construction resource, as evidenced by St. Peters Basilica in Rome (1506), George Washington's Home in the USA (1758) and any old city.
Terrazzo is a mix of stone and other materials with an adhesive (cement or resin are the most prevalent) to produce a compact engineered stone material available in slab and tile formats.
