Silestone Cincel Grey offers a neutral-coloured worktop in a delicious matte finish that you can combine with practically anything. It is inspired by a grey chisel that cuts and shapes wood, telling a story of sunlight brightening the space and attracting numerous sawdust flakes through a window.
While choosing a muted colour may appear dull, it is fearless: it frees up your kitchen to experiment with focal pieces elsewhere. For example, you don’t have to think much about installing an eye-catching Silestone Cincel Grey worktop. In addition, you can invest in a matching splashback or apply tiles to complete a minimalistic design.
Not only will Cincel Grey look stunning, but the material belongs to Silestone Sunlit Days. It is the first Carbon-Neutral collection of quartz, minimising emissions with reforestation programs. Therefore, you will contribute to our natural environment.
Silestone Cincel Grey Description & Advantages
Cosentino, the brand behind Silestone, has named this Sunlit Days colour Silestone Cincel Grey. It did so as a tribute to the neutral colours and the air filled with a melody of diverse wood odours from the land of Almeria, Spain.
Cincel Grey is a light grey worktop with refined grains that is smooth and subtle. It offers a grey colour that reveals contrasts between matte, gloss, and resemblance to other hues. Like the rest of the shades in the Sunlit Days Collection, its feel is a tactile experience, revealing the textures of versatile woods.
Do you want to create a strong impression in your grey kitchen? Combine your grey cabinets with a Silestone Cincel Grey splashback to create a harmonious look. It may sound unusual to say that having one grey is discreet while using two greys is dramatic.
Since your kitchen island is likely to be more visible than the cabinets, you can use Cincel Grey to decorate it whilst adding small matching elements such as upstands, plinths or even a chopping board in matching grey quartz.
Silestone Sunlit Days: Hues & Colours with Sustainable HybriQ+
Technology
The Worktop Library provides Sunlit Days by Silestone, an environmentally conscious quartz manufacturer. It comprises a limited series of quartz colours to make your home vibrant while positively contributing to our Mediterranean Sea.
We show the first range of stone kitchen worktops with zero emissions and support two programs for seabed conservation and ecosystem replanting.
Silestone Cincel Grey belongs to a unique series of surfaces comprising 100% renewable energy and recycled water. It also results in an innovative high-performance combination of quality minerals, quartz, and recycled glass, known as HybriQ and HybriQ+.
- HybriQ uses technology that restricts the crystalline silica content to 50%.
- Silestone HybriQ+: technology limits crystalline silica content to 50% and uses a minimum of 20% recycled material.
Quartz worktops with these technologies result in deeper colour intensity and improved patterns and hues from specific minerals for each quartz stone, allowing you to create original and bespoke living areas.

Maintaining Silestone Cincel Grey is straightforward. Here are the seven points to keep in mind:
- Keep your worktop as new as day one with water, a mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth.
- Wipe away any spills or stains to maintain the sheen.
- Avoid cleaning with harsh chemicals like bleaches or chemicals.
- Finally, do not use any water repellents or sealants.
- Avoid placing hot utensils on your Silestone Cincel Grey countertops for long periods.
- Use hot pads or trivets whenever possible.
- Avoid installing your Silestone worktops under direct sunlight or outdoors, as they can fade away due to UV radiation.
Apply window cleaning spray or multi-purpose spray on the spot and wipe it away with the soft side of a sponge. If required, repeat this step. Next, rinse the area well with water and pat dry.
Use a moist sponge and washing vinegar. If the marks remain, try diluting limescale cleaner with water. Next, wipe away quickly.
It would be best to never leave limescale remover over 2 minutes on Silestone. If required, repeat the procedure. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel.
You should remove this as soon as you can, following three steps:
- First, use a blade or sharp knife held horizontally and acetone.
- Then, follow with a scouring pad.-You can use a high-quality silicone remover if you don't have acetone.
- Finally, rinse well with warm water and pat dry.
Yes. Silestone can withstand temperatures of up to 150C.
However, to prevent heat damage, do not set specific kitchen equipment, such as pans, pots, and other objects that emit heat like Silestone hot pan or a hot pot, immediately onto the surface after use. Instead, use a mat or rack until the tools have cooled. Thermal stress might cause damage.
